The Jamtalhütte is located next to the Tyrolean mountain rescue training center in the rear Jamtal at 2165 m above sea level in the Silvretta, right at the start of the Futschöltal. It is a refuge of the German Alpine Club and, in addition to modern seminar rooms, even has an indoor climbing facility with a 120 m² climbing area and 5 m height. The hut offers sleeping accommodation for 180 overnight guests. The hut parlors can seat 225 people.

There are numerous opportunities for activities around the hut – from easy hikes to high alpine glacier tours, slackline, climbing gardens and via ferratas, from easy e-bike tours to challenging mountain bike trails in summer and from ski and ice tours to snowshoe hikes in winter.
